Terms of Service

DoorBrief helps property management teams turn maintenance requests and property context into repair briefs, vendor-ready work orders, and tenant updates. DoorBrief keeps vendor briefs and tenant updates in draft status until a human user reviews and sends them. You are responsible for reviewing every draft before it is sent.

You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure. Workspace administrators control who is invited and which role each user has (Admin, Coordinator, or Viewer). You are responsible for activity that happens under your workspace.

You agree to follow our Acceptable Use Policy. You may not use DoorBrief to break the law, send unsolicited messages, access data you are not authorized to access, disrupt the service, or reverse-engineer it except where the law allows.

You keep ownership of the content and data you submit, including property, unit, tenant, vendor, and request information ("Customer Data"). You give us permission to host, process, and display Customer Data only as needed to provide and support the service. You are responsible for having the right to submit Customer Data, including any notices or consents required from tenants and vendors.

Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.

DoorBrief uses OpenAI GPT-4o via API to prepare drafts. Customer Data is used for inference only and is not used to train the model. AI output can be incomplete or wrong. Drafts are suggestions, and you decide what is sent.

Paid plans are billed in advance through Stripe at the price shown on the Pricing page or in your order. Billing is handled through Stripe. New accounts may receive a 30-day pro-rated refund. Multi-Property plans require 30 days’ notice to cancel. Details are in the Return & Refund Policy. Questions: [email protected].

DoorBrief has a 99.9% uptime commitment, excluding scheduled maintenance windows. We may improve or change features over time. If we make a change that materially reduces core functionality of a paid plan, we will notify workspace administrators in advance.

DoorBrief, its software, and its branding belong to DoorBrief Operations LLC. These Terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service during your subscription. Feedback you share may be used to improve the service without obligation to you.

You can stop using DoorBrief at any time, subject to the cancellation terms above. We may suspend or end access for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, or use that threatens the security of the service or others. Where practical, we will give notice first. After termination, you may request an export of Customer Data by contacting [email protected].

Except as expressly stated in these Terms, DoorBrief is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. DoorBrief does not replace professional judgment on repairs, safety, or legal obligations to tenants.

To the extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits. Our total liability arising from these Terms is limited to the amount you paid DoorBrief in the 12 months before the claim.

You will defend and indemnify DoorBrief against third-party claims arising from Customer Data you submit or your use of the service in violation of these Terms or the law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in Delaware have exclusive jurisdiction, unless the law requires otherwise.

We may update these Terms. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and notify workspace administrators before the changes take effect. Continued use after that means you accept the updated Terms.
